These photos were taken with a basic $150 point-and-shoot camera: Canon PowerShot SD790 and weren’t cropped or edited.
Taking good pictures is more about composition than the type of camera.
The 1.5 hr boat ride to the reef was miserable and several people were seasick from the rough conditions (not me, of course! 
). The destination made it very worthwhile, though. There’s a lot happening under those waters. We went to ‘labyrinth’- a very colorful and healthy looking part of the reef. Did a 2-tank dive and snorkled.
