On Sunday, May 18th, 2008, six of us hiked to Devil’s Rest along the Columbia Gorge, Oregon.

Devil’s Rest is a pleasant forested and shady relaxation point on top of the hill. While it doesn’t have much of a view, it’s very quiet and peaceful- no sound of road noise- with lush green surroundings. From the Angel’s Rest parking area, it’s roughly 2 miles to Angel’s Rest and another 2 miles to Devil’s Rest, getting to 2,300 ft elevation.

We also stopped at Angel’s Rest which has a great view of the Columbia River Gorge from the rocky cliffs.
